A bob is a very versatile hairstyle. It can be dressed up or dressed down. It’s an ideal style for medium length hair. Bob’s fit any face shape and don’t have to be styled daily because its a style of its own. There are many methods to creating a bob but this is by far one of the easiest, DIY methods. First part your hair into three sections. Make a center part through about one third of your head, then part horizontally. The first two sections should look like pigtails and the last section is at the nape of your neck. Next, cut the section that’s at the nape of your neck. This cut will be the bottom of your bob and should be cut at the desired length. Lastly, cut the pigtails sections. Be sure to make sure that it blends with the back of your hair. Remember that that the bob should be longer in the front and shorter in the back. After cutting the sections, clean up the look.Next you will need to dye the bottom section of your hair. If you do not wish to dye your own hair, you can either sew in or clip in extensions that are the color you please. Lastly, you will need to use a flat iron or curling iron to flip your hair. All of the flips should be flipped back. The top part of the hair should be flipped harder ( more of a bend) than the bottom layers. This will create a feathered look. The model in the picture however has both bangs and layers which are harder to cut yourself at home.If you prefer to have your layers cut or your hair colored professionally; or you want to try out other black hairstyles, contact Marcus Doss at the Marcus Doss Salon in Fayetteville, NC.
