Double Technique Color Process on Relaxer Free Hair

As more women are shying away from using a chemical process to straighten their natural curl patterns, professional hairstylists like Dre’ Ramseur are creating innovative ways to give their natural clients the bold color they want, while keeping their hair healthy at the same time. Relaxer free hair tends to dry out more frequently than relaxed hair. Infusing moisture into the style to replace what was lost is very important. Dre’ Ramseur created a double technique color process for her model. This achieved her desired hair color while keeping her hair healthy also.

Shadow Root Ombre and Balayage Color Technique

The double technique color process includes a shadow root ombre and a balayage color technique. The illusion of shadows is created by the shadow root ombre. This has the benefit of covering the natural color and adding dimension to the hairstyle also. Dre’ used this technique to cover approximately 4 inches, (from the root to the free shaft) of the hair. She followed up with a balayage, vertical technique with a lightener to remove the model’s natural pigment in certain places.

Deep Waves Are Included to Enhance Movement

After the hair color process was completed, Dre’ gave her model a blowout. She then went back in with a titanium flat iron to create wand curls throughout the hair. This effect creates soft waves in the hairstyle that showcase the model’s movement. It also highlights the definition of the color in the hair. The waves accent the layers in the hair and bounce whenever the model moves. Then it falls right back into place when she stops.

Proper Conditioning is a Must for any Hair Color Process

Professional hairstylists are always going to be concerned with the health of your hair. Dre’ gave her model a conditioning treatment before she applied the hair color technique. This is because relaxer free hairstyles require more hydration, She used a sulfate-free shampoo infused with conditioners and moisturizers. This will retain a moisture balance in the model’s hair. The shampoo will maintain moisture where the hair has a high-lift color so that the hair will not dry out. Steps like these highlight the importance of having your hair serviced by a professional hairstylist like Dre’ Ramseur from Hair Infiniti Wellness Salon in Charlotte, NC.
