A Heavenly Place in Hair was originally Nails on Hand opening September 1994. Nails on Hand started as the first black-owned nail salon in Fort Walton Beach. God’s plan manifest in 1997 when I return back to school to finish my license. The name then changes to nails on hand and a heavenly place in hair, incorporated. The focus of the salon changed to majority hair. I still service nail clients but enjoy the creating in hair. The salon is based on a Christian environment which gives people an alternative. A heavenly place in hair is considered an upscale salon.

When you walk into the salon it is very warm and inviting. All of our clients are tracked by computer only so we can keep up with information. We provide punch cards for frequent clients, client referral list, every week client pricing, birthday list, overseas mailing, e-mail appointment reminder, gift cards, product order list, postcards missing you, client profile with a picture of the client (optional), drinks, popsicles for kids, and much, much more.

Our retail products include a wide variety of things, Design Essentials, Keracare, Silk 2, Dudley, Straight Request, Mizani, Chi Irons, Babybliss Irons, Natural Products, Shea Butter 100%, Opi Nail Polish, Satin caps, Rain caps, Remy hair, Yaki hair, Silk Straight, drawstrings, braiding hair, buns, ez weft, and pedicure products for the home as well.

A heavenly place in hair’s focus is healthy. Although, we can administer weave and other forms of personality pieces we try and keep your own hair healthy. We use salon products only, to bring out the best in your hair. Our motto is “ministering to the self-esteem” when your hair looks great you feel great.

Some of the services we provide is ex weft, sew-in, cornrolls, relaxers, cuts, shampoo styles, rods, color, natural hair, texturizers, updos, twist, weave, makeup, nails, and much more.

We would love to have you visit us when you come to town for a free consultation. Although, we are humans and not robots we try to make sure our light is always shining.
